AKTER SA was established in 1998.  Its founders are Mr Antonios Kokotsakis (civil engineer and contractor of Public Works) and Mrs Madlen Kafetzian (decorator). The company is a natural succession of their technical company that was established in 1988 in Athens.

In May 2000, the first subsidiary named "DOMYL SA – COMMERCIAL TECHNICAL COMPANY" was founded.

In December 2001, AKTER SA merged with "G. Theodorakis & SIA OE" and increased its share capital.  A year later, AKTER SA acquired the total amount of shares of the company "Thomas S. Naoum SA".

In May 2003, AKTER SA established its affiliate technical company "AKTER AKINITA SA" and in June 2004 "AKTER BIO SA".

The objective of the investment was to increase the share capital and strengthen the financial status of the company, but also to empower the company with skilled personnel of all specializations, in order to upgrade the contractor's Enterprise Registry Certificate.
